History

Cuauhtémoc University was built on November 3rd, 1977 by a civil organization dedicated exclusively to raising the standards of education and providing superior education while not pursuing financial gain nor having any religious or political bias.

It was founded by a group of Mexicans that, worried for the future of Mexico, created an institution that was dedicated to the formation and growth of its students and toward the eventual intellectual and material growth of Mexico as a whole.

Based upon these goals, Cuauhtémoc University provides a superior level of education.  The studies received at Cuauhtémoc have met and surpassed the standards of the Federal Secretariat of Public Education and consistently meet and exceed the standards imposed by FIMPES.  As a result, its degrees are valid throughout Mexico and in countries where Mexico maintains diplomatic relations.

This university began with studies in the fields of Tourism and Administration in January, 1977 and added Accounting in August, 1978.  Since then, Cuauhtémoc has been increasing its program offerings to include Industrial Engineering, Architecture and Civil Engineering in 1981; Law, Industrial Design and Psychology in 1983; Computer Systems in 1986; Communication Sciences in 1993; and most recently, in 1994, Graphic Design and Computer Systems Engineering.
